Raising Funds for Organizations in Houston & Beyond
When her mother died suddenly and tragically in August of 2012, Caroline created The Clara Louise Porter Memorial Fund, AKA, "The Louise Fund," a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps ambitious, creative, and worthy students obtain culinary or hospitality educations after high school.
This organization has now helped two lovely young ladies further their culinary educations, and it very much looks forward to connecting with more young people for years to come. After initially only offering the scholarships in Brady and Menard, Texas and then the region of the Hill Country, as of 2017, The Louise Fund will offer the scholarships throughout the entire state of Texas.

Caroline is also happy to have been able to help a number of organizations raise money over the last decade as a gala chair, committee member or event planner, including The Catastrophic Theatre, Diverseworks, Fresh Arts Houston, the Society for the Performing Arts, Trees for Houston, Houston Arts Alliance, Houston Symphony, New Leaders Texas, the Bill White for Texas Campaign, Lott Entertainment Presents, Lawndale Art Center, Casa de Esperanza, Best Buddies International, Planned Parenthood, Grace Foundation/Step Onward Foundation, Alzheimers Association of Houston and Southeast Texas and countless others. In early 2012, she was awarded Houston Grand Opera's Ovation Award for young philanthropic leaders (which made her mother very proud).
Today, Caroline is proud to serve on boards and committees that help make real progress in furthering a number of causes, including:
